as much as i have learned here (thanks to suhk!), thought i contribute on the few info i have on manila. i have found this one article, which i found to be very helpful. even thought it seems a bit outdated, i think it's a decent overall info.
i personally ended up checking out "Air Force One", and went with the KTV route (they do have a MP option too).
i'll write a reply to this one, regarding the Air Force One experience. ^^

Where to go: Massage, KTV, or escort?
August 06, 2007 | 01:01AM
There are moments when the libido suddenly jumps up and begins running on overdrive. Maybe you have been viewing too many sexy photos or maybe you had a hard day at work and you want to unwind. The problem is you are currently unattached, and you neither have the patience or the talent to pick-up girls in a bar. But you need release. It is gnawing on your mind that you know that you will be unproductive anywhere in life unless you give in.
Given a choice: Would you go for a KTV, a massage parlor (MP), or an escort service?
These moments of lust hit me often. These are the times also that I am thankful that there are a variety of “personal service providers” (PSPs, as I like to call them). Depending on my mood and disposition, I tend to have different levels of sexual urges. There are times when I just need a quick release, there are times when I want to it to be a long pampered session. There are times when I want to indulge myself in a specific fetish, or spend some hours with an extremely gorgeous model.
In terms of cost, my sweet spot is P4,000-P5,000, including the “extra service.” This is why, if sexual release is my primary objective, I choose a massage parlor by default. For this amount you can get your choice of a pretty lady, plus a nice room, nice shower, and a good massage. The fact that there is a time limit in MPs makes it suitable for a quick, straight-to-the-point release. I have had great experiences at Air Force One, Starfleet, Palacio, Phoenix, and Sylvanus that had tempted me many times for a repeat visit. Room cleanliness and hygiene are the more important factors.
The catch in an MP is in its choice of attendants—compared to a KTV, they may not be the sexiest or the most voluptuous. When concupiscence is ravishing through your veins, I really don’t mind—in a lustful state of mind, your sense of judgement begins to cloud and you begin to make all sorts of compromises. I have encountered many situations wherein, confronted with a room with about 20-30 attendants, it’s not so much choosing who is the prettiest among the prettiest, but actually a process of elimination of who I don’t want. Not this, not that, I tell myself until I end up with a handful of attendants who are average-looking. I choose the one who can, at least, give myself an erection. If the choices are really bad, then I would rather leave and try my luck elsewhere or some other time.
Now, a KTV is good if you are looking for starlet or ramp-model quality and yearn for that “girlfriend experience.” Sometimes you can get lucky and get that pampering experience in an MP, but in terms of odds, you are better off going to a KTV. Here the price ranges from P7,000 to P15,000, “extra service” included. With that cost, you can—and should—get a king’s treatment. Here, I demand to be pampered. Yes I can flirt and court and try to amuse her but it should not take too much effort. She should cuddle. She should sit as close to you as possible. She should be holding your hand, serve your beer, call the waiter, mix the food, engage in lively conversation. She should smile, flatter, and bullshit me. Anything less and I call the floor manager. It’s true that some GROs do not put out so if that is your objective it is best to ask the GRM if the GRO is “game.” And in many cases, if the GRO is “game,” the experiences can get wild.
My best experience was with a group of friends in the Marcos Highway-Cainta area (do magic wishing lamps and carpet rides ring a bell?) where we got so drunk that we were literally having an orgy. There were four of us and we were all in one room and I did it with one girl inside the tent, and then after a few more drinks, I did it with another girl who had just finished with one of my friends. Another girl was blowing me while she was doing it with my friend who was inside the tent. Total damage: P30,000.
The escort route is probably the riskiest and not the way to go if you are looking for a spur-of-the-moment sexual tryst. Risky in the sense that you may not have a contingency plan if the girl is not your type and chemistry between you goes sour—unlike an MP or a KTV wherein you have several choices and you can call the manager and request for a switch. With an escort, what you have at that moment is what you’ve got. Engaging an escort takes some effort and planning. You spend some time coordinating the time and place to meet. Plus, you can end up spending a considerable amount of time driving waiting for the girl to arrive. And from a cost-benefit perspective, escort services do not give you the best bang for your buck. I have seen escort ladies costing about P3,500, and frankly, at that price point, you are better off going to an MP. The cheapest escort I have experienced that had given me some value was P10,000. I had one escort lady, quite lovely and shapely, but her attitude really sucked—in bed, she was dead as a cold turkey.
Here is one more reason why, if budget is a constraint, an MP or a KTV would be much better. In an MP, the “extra service” is normally equal to the room rate. The class A MPs (Starfleet, Wilderness, etc.) normally charges P2,000 for the room, so we can assume that the “extra service” is P2,000. Now, let us further assume that you are a regular customer of the girl, you have exchanged mobile phone numbers, you have hit it off quite well, and she is now willing to provide you the “extra service” outside of the MP. How much do you think you will pay her? Of course, P2,000! Or, if you are feeling extra generous, you can even add a P500 or even P1,000 tip. The same rule applies for GROs in KTVs. Compare this to the cost of an escort.
And still, I have had my share of really BAD experiences, even with a five-figure escort, I’ve had escorts who look good in pictures but bad in real life. I have had escorts who are damn beautiful but when it comes to the “girlfriend experience,” they go frigid.
But having said that, when everything clicks together, the escort experience can be spectacular. I have had memorable encounters with a few escorts. They have fulfilled some of my fantasies—doing it with a celebrity or model, for one—and I am a firm believer to try everything at least once in your life, even if it puts a temporary dent in my finances. Imagine opening that motel door and seeing a tall, sexy, gorgeous photo-shoot model saunter in, a devious and seductive smile on her face, and a sexual appetite that doesn’t seem to end. Would I do it again? If finances permit, yes.
So, if you still insist on trying the escort route, insist on getting a picture of the girl. If not, at least insist on no cancellation fee. And if you don’t like the girl, if you are getting bad vibes or feel that the chemistry is all wrong, then don’t complete the deal. Even if you pay a cancellation fee. Just cut your losses and move on. Don’t be pressured or embarassed.
