Guest Friendly Hotel Bangkok: Nasa Vegas Hotel

Postby SukPsycho » Sat Jul 24, 2010 9:28 pm

Nasa Vegas Hotel is a huge Hotel and Complex (Restaurant, Massage, etc.) that has probably seen better days but looks still in good conditions. A huge sign down the road announces a "Luxury Hotel" but at 690 baht for a Deluxe Room and 890 baht for a Super Deluxe Room, it's hardly a 5star hotel.

The good thing with Nasa Vegas Hotel, beside the cheap prices for the room, is that it is on the new Airport Rail Link that connects Bangkok Downtown to Suvarnabhumi Airport. The Ramkhamhaeng station (the next station after the main Makkasan station aka City Air Terminal) is less than 20 meters away. It can be very convenient for those who want an hotel close and with direct access to the airport.

The drawback is that it's a bit of a remote location, far from everything, especially the nightlife spots. But at this price, you can afford to spend a bit in taxis and motorbike taxis.

The prices above do not include the breakfast (140 baht per person) and the WIFI Internet connection (150 baht for 24h).

Nasa Vegas Hotel Bangkok is Guest Friendly.

Facilities include a fitness room, a jacuzzi and a sauna. The massage shop is now located on the opposite side of the road and doesn't look like a Parlor but like a traditional massage shop.

If you are looking for a cheap but comfortable hotel near the Airport, don't look further. Give it a try!

Stayed at Nasa Vegas a couple months back... That hotel gives even short time hotels a bad name. Sure the outside looks really nice, but the rooms (at least the one I stayed in) screams "CHEAP! SLEAZY!" Dingy SMALL rooms (just enough to squeeze 2 single beds, a closet, and a minibar, with almost not enough space to turn around), really disgusting light pond scum green wallpaper and crappy internet service. Beds are crap as well

The good thing with Nasa Vegas Hotel, beside the cheap prices for the room, is that it is on the new Airport Rail Link that connects Bangkok Downtown to Suvarnabhumi Airport. Yes, the airport rail like... a great selling point... However, SukPsyco forgot to mention that you have to cross 4 lanes of traffic to get to the hotel... no pedestrian brigde or traffic light (not that a traffic light would be installed anytime soon... it too near the Klong Tan cross junction) Also traffic is almost a standstill during rush hour as well as around 6-8pm.

The only saving grace, if you could call it one is that Nasa Vegas is within walking distance (less than 1/2 km) from Blue Moon massage, Nancy Massage and Biwa Massage. Thai language skills needed for all 3 places, but foreigners are welcome (YMMV) if you can explain yourself properly :D

Ok you got me :) Truth is I haven't looked at the rooms (I usually don't). But that's what this forum is for. Exchange experiences.

Any report on these 3 places that I have yet to try?

It's doing a trial run now. I THINK it's free during the period of the trial and runs nonstop between the airport and the Makkasan station, end of the line. But it's running only in the mornings and the evenings. Not sure of the exact times.
