About Beer Bars:
Beer bars with hostesses are different from Gogo bars in the way that there is no dancing and no show. Therefore the main activity is drinking beers, hence the name 
Hostesses are available to sit and/or drink with you, or play pool. You can also ask them out and pay the barfine.
The barfine is usually cheaper than in Gogo bars, except for ‘high-end’ beer bars like the ones you will find on Sukhumvit soi 33 for instance, where barfines go up to increasingly high prices such a THB 1200 or THB 1500. One of them even charge THB 1900!
They usually have less girls, and therefore less customers (or is it the reverse?) than Gogo bars, although some like The Office on Sukhumvit soi 33 provides quite a large selection of hostesses.
Instead of playing pool, if this is not your thing, you may also watch TV (sport channels) or have a meal. Note that if you are having a meal there, hostesses usually don’t stay with you and wait somewhere else until you’ve finished.
Some Beer bars also feature a live band, like Hillary Bar II on Sukhumvit soi 4 or Mojo on Sukhumvit soi 33.
