A new after hour club in Bangkok: Shock 39, on New Petchburi Road, soi 39.
“Clubbing at it should be”, “Get ready to be SHOCKED”, “Ultimate Clubbing Destination”, “Open very very very late”, etc. They’re not short of claims! Let’s see what’s on offer.

Sunday, July 25th, 2010

It seems that the Welcome Jomtien Hotel in Pattaya  is not Guest Friendly. I mean not Guest Friendly with registered guests!
Sixteen people have been injured when the lift of the Welcome Jomtien Hotel has plunged 10 floors and hit the ground level.
Full story here.
(If you bring a guest to the Welcome Jomtien Hotel, [...]

Guest Friendly Hotel Bangkok: Nasa Vegas Hotel

Saturday, July 24th, 2010

Nasa Vegas Hotel is a huge Hotel and Complex (Restaurant, Massage, etc.) that has probably seen better days but looks still in good conditions. A huge sign down the road announces a “Luxury Hotel” but at 690 baht for a Deluxe Room and 890 baht for a Super Deluxe Room, it’s hardly a 5star hotel.
The [...]

Escort Service Glossary

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

Following these threads in the forums I tried to understand the Escort Service and the vocabulary they use. It’s not easy.
Obviously the standard rate is 5,000 baht for up to 3 hours (which based on some reports is actually barely 1 hour), but some websites mention “We charge 2,000 baht on top for A-Level Services“. [...]

Best Massage and Best Go-Go Bars in Bangkok – Reader Choice

Sunday, July 18th, 2010

What are the best massage and best go-go bars in Bangkok? It’s difficult for me to keep up to date with the stars (***) on the different pages. Things change, girls move, shops close, new shops open, etc.
I came up with a new idea: readers will vote and chose the best places to recommend to [...]

Is Play Skool recruiting?

Friday, July 16th, 2010

I saw this ad next to one of the elevators, at Nana Plaza.

My guess it that Play Skool is looking for Go-Go dancers and they pay them 10,000 baht 11,000 baht a month. Good news (for the girls), rates are increasing! Or bad news (for us), it’s always more difficult to find Go-Go dancers in [...]

Guest Friendly Hotel Bangkok: Amari Atrium Hotel, Petchburi road

Friday, July 9th, 2010

For a change of the usual Sukhumvit/Siam/Silom areas, Amari Atrium Bangkok is an option: This big hotel, part of the Amari Group, is located on Petchburi road, not far from the Asoke/Petchburi intersection.
This somehow remote location has a benefit: rooms are cheap for this category of hotels. The standard double room is priced 1,899 baht [...]
