Bangkok Guest Friendly hotel: Citadines Apart’Hotel Bangkok Sukhumvit soi 23
by Suk Psycho ~ January 21st, 2010. Filed under: Hotels. There are 4 different Citadines Apart’Hotels on Sukhuvmit and 1 of them is located on Sukhumvit soi 23, next to Grand Millenium Sukhumvit hotel, less than 2 minutes walk from Soi Cowboy.
The Citadines Apart’Hotels Sukhumvit 23 is brand new and a good value for money. Although at the desk they ask for 2,247 baht for a double room without breakfast, the same room on Agoda.com is currently priced 1,826 baht including breakfast.
Broadband Internet access is available in the room for free, and the hotel is guest friendly.
But of course the greatest thing is the location: as I said earlier, soi Cowboy is just next door, but not only: Both BTS and MRT stations are also less than 2 minutes walk. The BTS will take you to Nana Plaza in a few minutes, or to the other side, to Phrom Phong and the Teen massage shops, also in a few minutes. The MRT is the easiest way to reach Patpong/Silom in less than 15 minutes. It’s also the best way to go to the soapy massage parlors on Ratchada.
You couldn’t be more central, yet Citadines is cheaper than Grand Millenium and other hotels in the area.
All the Guest Friendly Hotels in Bangkok are listed here.
Note: I always check the hotels and verify the information provided here, however I strongly suggest that you confirm all details with the reception BEFORE booking. Prices are valid at the time of writing only.

Thanks, I have heard good things about this hotel and was thinking about staying here in April. How was the breakfast?

Probably busier and noisier than the ones on soi 8, 16 and 23, but the location is great. Book it thru this site please

All these Citadines places in Bangkok are the same.
Not luxurious but comfortable and very affordable with nice design.
The one in soi 11 is a bit of a walk to suk about 5 mins
but soi 11 is a great location. The soi 8 one is further but the have a free tuk tuk service. Like the he said check the web for a cheaper deal.

Unfortunately i have to say:
- If you book it through Agoda, they add an extra charge per night at the very end of your booking trek. This extra charge is not included in the price Sukh Psycho mentions (as far as i can see). And after that extra charge, any other site is cheaper. Sorry, but it’s true. I like the Agoda user interface, but had the same disappointment with an unexpected price jump several times in several years.
- Breakfast is mediocre. Also not of consistent quality. Only special thing, sometimes, is a thermos of hot steamed milk as a coffee sideliner. Breakfast venue can get uncomfortably full also. I’d suggest to book w/out breakfast. You can always buy a single breakfast ticket (i believe 180 Bt) and otherwise take one of the many lusher breakfast venues around. Some blokes even have breakfast on soi Cowboy (i mean food).

Actually I think the fee you mention is the tax and service cost that arent included in the price wich they add to your total…I think the tax is 7% and the service charge 10%. So you should add 17% to the cost on the website to get what you actually have to pay for your room…

Lussianos – whatever, in the end the total is higher than elsewhere and it comes as a surprise because initially the price looks attractive.
