New Topic: Guest-friendly hotels. Starts with Nana Hotel Bangkok

by Suk Psycho ~ June 10th, 2009. Filed under: Hotels.

I often receive questions from readers about guest-friendly hotels in Bangkok (hotels where you can bring for free your one-night girlfriend. Or boyfriend. Or whatever). I thought it might be useful to start a new set of posts about guest friendly hotels.

I have a link on this blog where you can book your hotel and I get a commission (see the “Book Your Hotel” link on top of the page), therefore you can help to support (one of) your favorite blog while getting a good deal on your hotel booking in Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket, etc.
Isn’t that great? ;)

I plan also to add other hotel providers and travel agent websites to make sure that most of the good hotels are available for online booking.

Now, let’s move on.

I couldn’t start to talk about p4p hotels without starting with the (in)famous Nana Hotel Bangkok, which is THE p4p hotel in Bangkok, due of course to its name and its location. Tell a bargirl or a taxi driver of your choice that you stay in an hotel on Sukhumvit soi 4 and he or she will immediately ask “Nana Hotel?” with a grin.

Asset: it’s easy to find and no-one will give you the bad look there. Drawback: it’s not very discreet if you plan to play it low profile.

Nana Hotel is located on Sukhumvit soi 4, right across from Nana Entertainment Plaza. Except if you chose to sleep in a short time hotel in the Plaza, or at the second floor of one of the soi CowBoy gogo bars, there is no chance you could be closer to the action than at Nana Hotel.

I never tried the rooms but I have heard that they are ok. There is also a nice swimming pool. They quote 1490 baht (low season price) for the double room (booking online will only save you 50 baht per night, but it will also spare you to spell your full name on the phone to someone who barely speaks English ;) ) and feature Wifi internet access in the room and in the lobby, that they charge 150 baht for 60 minutes.

And of course, this is a guest-friendly hotel! You can bring one guest for free, but one guest at a time only. This is a common policy for hotels in Bangkok to accept one guest for free but one guest only and to charge you for 2 or more. This makes sense because you’re supposed to use a double room, not a triple or a suite.

Note that Nana Hotel also features triple rooms for 200 baht more. If you already know that you’re gonna be more than 2 at a time in the room, this is the option to chose!

You can book this hotel here and (soon) find more info about guest friendly hotels in Bangkok on the Hotels page.

Furama Asoke not far from Cowboy, no problems too with one guest and a stones throw from the action.

Never had any problems regarding joiners at any “suites” hotels because as such theyre classed as serviced studio apartments.

President Park, Grand President, Bally suites, Windsor suites, Admiral suites admittedly all further away from the action but have had no troubles staying with my different rented wives.

PB Hotel Soi 3, is a good hotel ,, 800 baht.. food good… 5 miute walk to Nana Soi4,

I stayed at the Nana last time for one night before heading off to Pattaya. Very convenient for taking ladies back to the room after cruising the girls leaving Nana Plaza at closing time!

Grand President Service apts are also very friendly and no one bothers you whether it’s bringing back one girl or two. o extr fee’s! Strategically located. It’s an easy walk to either Nana or Soi Cowboy although in the evening the traffic makes even the short trip from Soi Cowboy seem to last forever when you have a bar girl with you!

Majestic Suites was always my go to place but I haven’t been in a few years. I assume it is still a great place. Clean and modern rooms, friendly service and wide open guest policy.

the OMNI TOWER on soi 4,,,anyone ever stay there and is it girl friendly?? can you walk in or does the girl need to leave ID???

  6. Suk Psycho

It is girl friendly, however as in many guest-friendly places, they will check and keep the ID. I think this is a good thing for you anyway. Full review coming soon.

Dawin Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 4. 5 mins walk to Nana plaza, about B1800-2000/night for standard room, depending on season. New hotel, good modern rooms w/LCD cable TV. Free WiFi in all rooms/restaurant/bar. PIN code safe in all rooms (big enough for small laptop). Swimming pool. Will keep girls’ ID card at reception for added security.

I have always stayed at the JW Marriott and Landmark with no hassles (fees or dirty looks) bringing 1, 2, or 3 girls back day or night. I’ve also tried the Dream Hotel and found it very accommodating as well. I realize these are pricier business hotels, but wanted to let the biz-travelers know that you don’t have to stay at Nana or other high-traffic places to enjoy Bangkok’s benefits!

You do occasionally get the “stare” at breakfast from the western “women” that we all try to forget about while in Thailand…
