Interesting post about g-clubs in Bangkok from member bangkoknyc in the forum:

“I have been going to high end gentlemen’s clubs in BKK for about 10 years. I was introduced to them by Thai friends who are high end business people. The best advice I can give anyone going to these clubs is to be introduced to a sales person. The sales person’s job is to make sure you are treated well, the girls are fun and most importantly that your bill is correct. The sales person also can help you take out the ladies- they smooth the process for you and in effect provide a reference (he is a good guy, he will treat you well, he isn’t cheap, etc). Unfortunately, as a foreigner, unless you are pretty well known to your sales lady you will be taken advantage of when the bill comes. Right now ther a 6 or so really well known high end clubs:

The Ritz – Suk soi 11. This is probably the most expensive club around. I am there pretty often but fortunately it is usually with Thai friend who pick up the bill. They are the hosts and generally use it for business. The ladies are beautiful and there is a large assortment. I would classify it as a higher end Carribean.

Tabasco – Mheng Jai – This is my personal favorite. I have a really great sales lady there that always treats me well. Most of my Thai friends dont go there because the area has a lot of alcahol check points but my foreign customers love it.

The Bank – Suk 40 – probably the craziest place in BKK. We have huge parties there in the VIP room where it is common for us to have 14 or more girls running around in various states of undress. My friends and I have taken girls out of there fairly easily. As a note, I have never spent any time downstairs in the lounge area – we are always in the VIP rooms.

Piano and Sherbet – Ekami before soi 1 – I grouped these together because they are the same style and are owned by the same people. They are more of a lounge with sofa seating, live muic and plenty of girls. I have not been to either in a while but they are generally well thought of.

The Resort – Rachada soi 13 – The girls are pretty but over the last year or so its reputation has gone down hill. They are marking up the bills and evn a few of my Thai friends wont go there anymore.

Carribean – Mheng Jai – This used to be my place but I have not been there in bout 8 months now. There was neer an issue we just got tired of the same stuff.

The Pent – I hardly go there and probably could not give an honest evaluation.

As for bringing girls home from these places it is hit or miss. It is almost like picking up a girl at a Thai bar in Ekami. I have never been charged for a girl from any of these places and have left with the girl in her car a few times to go to an after hours bar, a private party or back to my condo. If you want to buy a girl out for the night you buy 10 – 15 drinks but that gets you a date not sex. Basically, I have found that in places like these the girl has to like you and want to go withyou – she is not forced.”
